Budi & Ani game

/ Friday, 30 August 2013 /
In my 5th semester, I learnt about flash and made a simple flash game. I was late about this because actually the product was already released early this August but I just checked my email a few days ago. Since I studied in Korea, the app is Korean and so are the other 2 games inside it. Mine is the only English game there.

It is called 생각나무 (Tree of Thinking). My game is Budi & Ani. As you can see, it is the first one, with the girl in pink background. If you download this app, it's actually doesn't consist any game at all. It only consist of this page and manage all of 생각나무 game which I think will be updated in later time. However, if you click on each tumbnails, they will take you to their download link.

This is kinda tricky because I don't really understand what's the use of it. Anyway, without 생각나무 app, the game can still be played normally and perfectly.

It is a simple hidden object game. I really like to play hidden object game since I was a little girl until now. There are 4 stages and all of them are illustrated and animated by me. I'm not the programmer though.

I don't know if this will work in iphone or not. But the first time I played the game, I played it on my professor's iphone.

It's too bad they credited me as gaby. I wonder why my professor didn't ask my name first before they put it there (my name in Korean is 게비, and it reads 'gebi' which is more terrible). My nickname is Gabby and I would be really pleased if they wrote it as 'Gabriela Tio'.

Anyway....

Please download it and give a rate (ALL OF THEM ARE FREE~). Thank you, I'll work harder to make better things in the future!

Quartermaster of Angels

Q from Skyfall. I really love how Ben Whishaw portrayed the youngest quartermaster to date. He looked geek, fragile, but you can smell prodigy all of him. He is not someone who you want to mess around with. I am totally captivated by his beauty and thus always wanted to draw him.

But there's a backstory behind this art. Because I didn't intend to draw him at the first time.

I intended to draw an OC since it was already a long time. I've been drawing fanart for the past months and somehow it actually makes me better.

His wings are the hardest part to paint. Second to that is his hair. I kinda messed up every time I tried to paint hair but this one turned out better than I expected though not my best.

Anyway, I have so many ideas that I want to draw before my holiday runs out!

Game Influenced Art

/ Saturday, 10 August 2013 /
After holiday broke, I was looking for every interesting films and books. I didn't think about games before because it's been such a long time since the last time I played a real game (except Sims 3 but yeah... I need something more challenging). Then I stumbled into Bioshock Infinite. I must say, this game is superb. I'm an amateur in game and this is my very first FPS game. But I have finished it in only 5 days.

I painted Booker's hand based on a scene where Booker and Elizabeth intended to buy tickets to ride the lady airship but then I chose to wait and so Booker's hand was wounded. I really love Elizabeth and I really hope that they really go to Paris in alternate universe.

Have you seen the trailer for its DLC? The Burial at Sea? It looked so fantastic! But since it goes back to Rapture, it will be kinda horror again right? Though I'll still try to play it because of Elizabeth and Booker. I love Bioshock Infinite art so much. The BG is totally awesome. Moreover, I love retro style so much and the whole game is just like a porn to me (ha ha).

The second game that I am currently playing is Assassin's Creed. I must say the game is cool but I am kinda boring with the mission (?). The graphic is awesome though.

I painted this Altair artwork for like a week, since my pen tablet is kinda error and almost broken (the pen pressure sensitivity is totally terrible). AC is kinda hard for me. I killed Altair more than 10 times already and I still in Memory Block 4. Wish me luck, friends... ^__^
